Join us for these special events to celebrate St. Francis, sponsored by the Secular Franciscan Fraternity of the Franciscan Martyrs of Siroki Brijeg
October 2: bilingual Mass and blessing of pets at 6 p.m.
October 3: the Transitus of St. Francis at 4 p.m., a service that memorializes the passing of St. Francis as he welcomes “Sister Death.” Secular Franciscans from the Fraternity of the Franciscan Martyrs of Siroki Brejig (the parish’s local fraternity) will be available before and after the service to answer any questions regarding the Transitus, or if you would like to know more about becoming a Secular Franciscan.
October 4: St. Francis feast day celebration with Mass at noon followed by a luncheon in Marian Hall, followed by a discussion and lecture in the church on the San Damiano crucifix. Members of the local Secular Franciscan Fraternity will be available to answer questions regarding fraternity membership and, of course, St Francis!
