Celebrate the Canonization of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Holy Spirit Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul invite you to a special evening in honor of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who will be canonized this August.
Join us in McDonough Hall for Mass at 6:00 p.m. followed by a dessert reception and presentation with Father Paolo Ravaglia, visiting from the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. Father Ravaglia will share reflections on Frassati’s inspiring life, his path to sainthood, and how his Vincentian spirit continues to inspire us to love deeply, serve humbly, and walk with the poor.
Known as the “Man of the Beatitudes,” Blessed Pier Giorgio was a joyful and courageous young layman who combined a deep spiritual life and bold action for social justice. He died in 1925 at age 24 yet his legacy of faith, service, and love for the poor continues to inspire people around the world.
