Knights “Carry the Cross” for Seminarians
Transfiguration Council 10362 (Marietta, GA) is hosting our 5th Annual Knights of Columbus “Carry The Cross” Challenge. This innovative program was started in 2021 to raise funds for our seminarians in the north Georgia area. Our goal is to bring awareness to these young men as they discern the priesthood and support those that need some financial help.
Cross-bearer teams from all across Georgia will carry 40 lb. crosses along one of two 5.5-mile sites: the Kennesaw Mountain Trail in northwest Atlanta and the South River Trail starting at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in southeast Atlanta. Teams solicit donations from friends, relatives, brother Knights, and their church parishioners to support this effort; the Team that raises the most money wins the “Challenge”.
Donations can be made by going online to the Council website at www.kofc10362.org. Follow the prompts to the Carry the Cross 2025 website, choose a team, and donate. All money raised goes toward helping our Atlanta seminarians with their everyday expenses.
