Magnificat Prayer Meal for Women

Are you a Catholic woman who would like to grow in holiness through opening more fully to the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Magnificat invites you to enjoy fellowship and a time of praise and to hear one person’s testimony of the transforming love of Christ in her life.
The March 8 guest speaker will be Sandy Russman Fohs, who received great comfort from the Lord after some devastating losses. She is a parishioner at Saint Brendan the Navigator Church in Cumming. Sandy was born in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was one of seven children. Tragically, when she was nine years old, her mother passed away — a devastating loss. A few days after the funeral, she received a sympathy card with a Bible quote in it. Verse 4 of Psalm 23 gave her hope: “Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that give me courage.” Sandy pursued a sales career in Atlanta and later fell in love and married. When her husband left her for his high school sweetheart, Sandy was, once again, devastated. She found solace in Psalm 34:19: “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Sandy will share how becoming friends with Jesus has resulted in candid inspirations and amusing anecdotes.
All women are invited. Reservations are $25 and are required in advance. Register by Feb. 26 using the event link below. Note: open seating, please arrive early. (Email joyfulvisitation@gmail.com to receive an emailed invitation.)
