Night of Hope-Kate Huff

Kate Huff is a courageous 12-year-old with a rare and life-threatening facial arteriovenous malformation (AVM). She has endured multiple severe hemorrhages requiring emergency surgeries, blood transfusions, and an emergency airlift for lifesaving care. In six years she has undergone 21 surgeries here in the U.S,. with no cure. Existing treatments focus on temporarily reducing the AVM to help prevent bleeding. Despite all the surgeries and continuing to receive 3-4 angiogram and chemotherapy-based treatments each year, the AVM continues to grow back.
An Italian specialist in vascular anomalies named Dr. Colletti has successfully treated patients with conditions nearly identical to Kate’s. Kate will travel to Italy for surgery to remove her AVM in November 2026 and again in May 2027. The procedures are extensive requiring long recoveries and stays in Italy. This event is helping to raise funds toward the $210,000 needed for both surgeries including hospital, travel, and lodging expenses.
