Shepherds of the Meek 3rd Annual 5k/1 Mile Run for a Mission
This mission supports the nuns and sisters in Colombia South America who manage safe houses and orphanages for children. These sisters house children ages birth to 18 years old to provide a safe house, education, food, clothing, shelter, and instruction in the faith of Jesus Christ. The sisters keep the children off the street and teach them a life skill to save them from sex trafficking, addiction, and abuse. Most of the children are in homes with one or no parent living with the grandparents who take on the parenting responsibilities. 100% of the money raised from the event is given to the sisters to help with bedding, clothes, building repairs, and more.
