Testimonial: Mary C.

My first memory of The Quest was from friends I made from attending daily Mass at St. Peter Chanel. They shared that they were volunteering at the new Catholic radio station, and I was intrigued. I began listening to The Quest because of them. I admired their faithfulness so I knew The Quest had to be a good thing.

I started listening when I was in my car. I have so many favorite shows; I fell in love with the show Christ is the Answer with Fr. John Riccardo (weekdays at noon) because he makes so much sense. I learned about his ministry ACTS XXVIIII, and when my parish decided to offer this program, I became a volunteer.

I also love Catholic Connection with Teresa Tomeo that airs at 9 a.m. because it goes over current events and focuses on pro-life issues which are a passion of mine.

Now that the local morning show, The Morning Quest, has launched at 8 a.m. weekdays, it really starts my day out right. It is funny and spiritual all at the same time and connects me with what is going on throughout the Atlanta archdiocese. The afternoon call-in shows are really helpful in explaining the Church teachings.

I learn something every day which allows me to know my faith at a deeper level. It gives me more confidence in sharing our beautiful faith with others. This is ultimately what Christ told us to do.

As I grow deeper in faith, I really wanted to see what gifts God has given me, so I went through the Called and Gifted class. Knowledge is one of my gifts, and I have been able to use that gift by becoming a Quest Parish Ambassador. I inform my parish about what The Quest has to offer, and I share with The Quest all that is happening in my parish that is open to the Atlanta archdiocese to help The Quest inform the broader community about local Catholic events.

Making connections is another way I serve the Lord, and recently I met a young adult who was new at my parish who had heard of The Quest but had not really connected with it yet. I showed her where to find The Quest Atlanta app and told her about the Honest to God young adult podcast that is produced by The Quest. I love connecting others with The Quest because it has done so much for my faith.

In this confused and disorderly world we live in, I put faith over fear. Knowing God wins in the end brings joy and peace to me, and I want others to know and believe that as well. The more I listen to The Quest, the more I learn and the more I can share with others.
