Honoring the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
In anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, the Catholic bishops of our nation have announced a historic consecration of the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In union with Catholics across the United States, Mary Our Queen will host a series of special events as we commemorate this significant act of faith and devotion.
- June 12 – Special Mass for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at 7:00 p.m.
- June 13 – The parish youth will participate in a Eucharistic Pilgrimage, joining teens from neighboring parishes in a public witness of faith. The pilgrimage will begin at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at Mary Our Queen later that afternoon. At 5 p.m., Bishop Ned Shlesinger will celebrate Mass at Mary Our Queen.
We encourage all to bring an image or statue of the Sacred Heart to Mass at Mary Our Queen June 12, 13 and 14 to be blessed. The blessed images can then be used for a Home Enthronement.
