Magnificat Prayer Meal for Women

May 17, 2025 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
$25

Are you a Catholic woman who would like to grow in holiness through opening more fully to the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Magnificat invites you to enjoy fellowship and a time of praise and to hear one person’s testimony of the transforming love of Christ in her life.

The May 17 guest speaker will be Tricia Borah. Tricia is the Special Needs Youth Ministry Coordinator at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek, Georgia, where she lives with her husband of almost 30 years, Todd, and where they raised their two children. She was born and grew up a cradle Catholic in a Northern Kentucky suburb of Cincinnati, the oldest of three children. She moved to the Atlanta area in 1994, and Tricia and her family have been parishioners at St. Brigid since 1999.

While her Catholic faith has always been an important part of her identity, it wasn’t until she attended a Christ Renews His Parish retreat weekend at St. Brigid in 2010 that she felt a revival in her faith life. In particular, she felt called to join a mission team from her parish to travel to Mustard Seed Communities in Nicaragua and spend a week serving and getting to know the children, teens, and adult residents with physical and intellectual disabilities there. Tricia encountered the Lord in a profound way on this trip, and found that her life would never be the same. Her eyes were opened to the unique experiences of individuals with disabilities, and once back home she searched for ways to be involved with the disabilities community at the local level.

Tricia will share how the Holy Spirit has moved in her life in the years since that first trip to Mustard Seed Communities, in ways both big and small, eventually leading her to her current role as coordinator of a ministry for teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at St. Brigid. If you’ve ever stopped and asked yourself, “How did I get where I am today?” you are not alone. Tricia has asked herself that question many times and will reflect on her journey led by the Holy Spirit, a journey in which she has come to expect the unexpected as the Lord reveals himself in new ways time and time again through the amazing individuals she works with.
